For this week.

American Mcgee's Alice is a computergame based on Alice in Wonderland. It's a twisted version of the original fairytale. After Dina, Alice's cat, knocks over a candle in Alice's room, the entire house burns down. Only Alice and Dina survive by jumping out of the window. Alice is taken to an insane asylum, not only drastically changing her own life, but also her imagination, which leaves Wonderland to be a broken land where everyone has gone mad (even more then they already were) and is being commanded by the Queen of Hearts (or the Red Queen, they were made into one person in this game) The White Rabbit comes over to Alice one day and tells her that she is the only one who can restore Wonderland.

Oh, and the picture with Burton's Alice isn't meant to mock the movie or anything. But trailers suggest that the Mad Hatter is around Alice a lot more than in the original story (most likely 'cuz Johnny Depp plays the Hatter), so I suppose he's like her best friend there or something. Well, that's quite the opposite of what he is in Mcgee's Alice, so it seemed like a good comparement Wouldn't it be cool if the Hatter betrayed Alice near the end of the movie or something? I dunno. I just like that idea of him being a big traitor. After all, he IS mad.

Oh right, I don't have red/orange hair, I just did that because I didn't have any pencils that were similar to my own hair color, and I decided to keep it like that when I drew the rest on the computer, like a "wonderland-version" of myself or something. In the insane-asylum picture it seemed a better idea to just keep my haircolor like how it is in reality, because well, the asylum isn't in Wonderland, so no Wonderland-version me =3

I read somewhere that Alice once ran into a bathroom where one of the Asylum's nurses was bathing and she
screamed "DUCHESS" (boss from the game/character from the book) so I decided I'd draw myself doing that.
